PLANT THE BLOOM: Evangelism, Service & Enlightenment for people with special needs
Wheat (MILAL) Mission Society in Vancouver provides many different services and programs for people with special needs in all age groups and all types of disability.
We call our semester-based weekly programs, 'Class Agape.'
Saturday program activities include, but are not limited to, Spiritual Care, Arts and Crafts, Photography, Music, TaeKwonDo, Special Education, Yoga, Recreation, and various Outings.
This program specializes in Korean traditional drumming called Nanta. The korean nanta team, Uhwoolim, which means harmony in Korean, performs at various events.
Meeting every Thursdays, the program focuses on Spiritual Care, Fine Arts, Music, Special Education and Art Therapy, led by a professional Art Therapist.
This Photography program is ran by a professional photographer. Participants take snapshots of their experience as they explore Vancouver.
This program started during the pandemic when we could not meet in person. It's a space where we do show-and-tell, play various online games and share our day-to-day lives with each other.
Participants learn how to make various meals while strengthening skills and building confidence in each session. It provides the opportunity to collaborate with one another, and strengthen friendship while sharing the finished dish.
