HAPPY TOGETHER
We offer a vibrant Saturday program designed to empower individuals with special needs through diverse activities that foster growth, creativity, and connection.
From Spiritual Care and Arts & Crafts to Photography, Music, TaeKwonDo, Yoga, Recreation, Special Education, and group outings, our inclusive program encourages participants to explore their passions and build meaningful relationships.

NANTA TOGETHER
Uhwoolim (meaning "harmony"), our Nanta program combines traditional Korean drumming with stress management techniques to support participants' mental well-being.
This unique program provides a cultural and therapeutic experience, fostering relaxation and community connection while promoting overall health.
Uhwoolim also inspires audiences with captivating performances at various community events, showcasing the transformative power of rhythm and harmony.
JOYFUL TOGETHER
Our Thursday program offers a unique blend of Fine Arts, Music, Special Education, and Art Therapy, providing a nurturing space for individuals with special needs to grow creatively and spiritually.
Guided by a professional Art Therapist, participants engage in activities that foster self-expression, emotional well-being, and personal development.
We are dedicated to holistic care that enriches the mind, body, and spirit. Join us to experience the transformative impact of our innovative Thursday program.
CAPTURE TOGETHER
Our photography program empowers individuals with special needs to explore creativity and self-expression through the art of photography. Led by a professional photographer, participants capture the beauty of Vancouver while honing their skills and discovering new perspectives.
This immersive program offers a fun, supportive environment where participants can express themselves and develop their artistic talents. Join us to experience the transformative power of photography and its ability to inspire and empower.
PLAY TOGETHER
During the pandemic, Wheat (MILAL) Mission Society recognized the importance of staying connected and engaged with our community, even when we couldn't meet in person. That's why we launched our online program, a virtual space where individuals with special needs can come together to share their experiences, play games, and connect with one another.
Through our online program, participants have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, including show-and-tell, group games, and discussions about their day-to-day lives. Our online program provides a safe and supportive environment where individuals with special needs can connect with others, build meaningful relationships, and stay engaged with the world around them.

COOK TOGETHER
Cooking is more than just preparing food; it's an art that brings people together, fosters creativity, and cultivates a sense of accomplishment. At Wheat (MILAL) Mission Society, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of cooking, regardless of their abilities.
Our cooking program is designed to empower individuals with special needs by providing them with the tools and resources they need to create delicious meals and build essential life skills. Participants work collaboratively with one another, strengthening friendships and developing their culinary talents as they learn to make a variety of dishes.
Through our cooking program, participants not only gain practical skills but also build confidence in their abilities. They learn to work as a team, problem-solve, and express themselves creatively through food. The program provides a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can learn, grow, and thrive together.

This form is for both new and returning participants, and we encourage all returning participants from the previous term to submit the form again.

Winter Camp is a highly anticipated event hosted by Wheat (MILAL) Mission Society in Vancouver. This program offers an exceptional opportunity for participants to expand their horizons and sharpen their snowboarding, skiing, and snowshoeing skills. Moreover, it provides the perfect setting for creating lasting memories with friends while enjoying the beauty of winter. Our Winter Camp serves as a valuable outlet for those who share a love of snow, and we are thrilled to be able to offer this enriching experience each year.

'WITH YOU' BENEFIT CONCERT
The 'WITH YOU' Benefit Concert is an annual event presented by Wheat (MILAL) Mission Society in Vancouver that showcases the talent and artistry of professional musicians and artists from various backgrounds. GLOBALLY ONE RUN FESTIVAL
A.K.A "GO RUN FEST"
Globally One Run Festival, also known as GO Run Fest, is an annual event that promotes inclusivity and cultural diversity through a variety of activities such as a Run, Fair, and interactive events. This festival aims to break down cultural and linguistic barriers, connecting individuals from all backgrounds in a healthy and harmonious community. With a focus on building bridges and fostering understanding, GO Run Fest seeks to create a legacy of inclusivity and celebration for future generations. MINI OLYMPICS
Mini Olympics is a festive event where participants of all ages engage in friendly competition with their peers and families, enjoying a day filled with laughter, camaraderie, and an abundance of delicious food. This occasion is a highlight of the year, as participants have the opportunity to showcase their skills and strengths, all while making cherished memories with their loved ones. With a variety of exciting games and activities, there is something for everyone at Mini Olympics, and the prizes on offer ensure that the day is packed with excitement and anticipation.

CAMP AGAPE & CAMP TELEIOS
CAMP AGAPE & CAMP TELEIOS are highly anticipated annual events where the Milal branches from Vancouver, Seattle, Northern California, and Southern California converge to create an unforgettable experience for individuals with special needs. The camps are held in late June or early July and offer 2 nights and 3 days of activities, games, and exploration with the support of dedicated 1:1 aides.
Camp TELEIOS is a special extension of Camp AGAPE, designed exclusively for the Vancouver branch, and takes participants to places such as Disneyland, Universal Studio, Sea World, Lego Land, and Knott's Berry Farm. This unique opportunity allows participants to broaden their horizons, create lifelong memories, and experience the excitement of the greater world. The camps represent the spirit of Milal, fostering a community of love, care, and inclusion for all.

MILAL ARTS FESTIVAL
The Milal Arts Festival is a celebration of creativity and self-expression, where participants are given the opportunity to explore the beauty of Vancouver's natural landscapes through the lens of their artistic vision. With the guidance of student volunteers from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, participants engage in a variety of artistic activities including drawing, painting, and other forms of visual arts. The festival is a testament to the transformative power of art, as it empowers individuals with special needs to unleash their innate artistic talents and share their unique perspectives with the world.

NIGHT OF MILAL
The Night of Milal is a globally renowned concert that has been held since the inception of Wheat Mission Society in 1979. This inspiring event showcases talented performers and motivational speakers who have bravely overcome and embraced the challenges of living with special needs. Previous speakers have included the likes of Nick Vujicic, Lena Maria, and So Hyang.
The Vancouver Night of Milal, first held in 2000, is an annual event that has become a cherished tradition for the local community. Each autumn, attendees are treated to meaningful testimonies and uplifting performances that highlight the extraordinary abilities and resilience of individuals with special needs. This special occasion brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate the power of the human spirit and the importance of inclusion and diversity.

WINTER FORMAL
The Winter Formal is a highly anticipated event that enchants the participants of Milal with a unique dance party experience. With enchanting music and elegant décor, Winter Formal presents an opportunity for individuals with special needs to indulge in a magical evening akin to a prom night. This heartwarming event creates a safe and inclusive atmosphere, allowing participants to embrace their individuality and express themselves in a joyful and carefree manner. The Winter Formal is truly a highlight of the year for the Milal community.
