Wheat (MILAL) Mission Society in Vancouver provides many different services and programs for people with special needs in all age groups and all types of disability.
We call our semester-based weekly programs, 'Class Agape.'

HAPPY TOGETHER
Saturday program activities include, but are not limited to, Spiritual Care, Arts and Crafts, Photography, Music, TaeKwonDo, Special Education, Yoga, Recreation, and various Outings.

NANTA TOGETHER
This program specializes in Korean traditional drumming called Nanta. The korean nanta team, Uhwoolim, which means harmony in Korean, performs at various events.

JOYFUL TOGETHER
Meeting every Thursdays, the program focuses on Spiritual Care, Fine Arts, Music, Special Education and Art Therapy, led by a professional Art Therapist.

CAPTURE TOGETHER
This Photography program is ran by a professional photographer. Participants take snapshots of their experience as they explore Vancouver.

PLAY TOGETHER
This program started during the pandemic when we could not meet in person. It's a space where we do show-and-tell, play various online games and share our day-to-day lives with each other.

COOK TOGETHER
Participants learn how to make various meals while strengthening skills and building confidence in each session. It provides the opportunity to collaborate with one another, and strengthen friendship while sharing the finished dish.

Every year, Wheat (MILAL) Mission Society in Vancouver reach out to the Vancouver community and widens the world of its participants by hosting various annual events. The characteristic and purpose of each event are different, filling the whole year with fun and valuable experience.

WINTER CAMP
This is a great opportunity for participants to gain new experience and to further develop their snowboard/ski/snowshoeing skills as well as create memorable memories with their friends. The camp creates a healthy outlet for anyone who loves snow!

'WITH YOU' BENEFIT CONCERT
The semi-classical concert, 'Walking Hand in Hand WITH YOU' presents a unique theme each year, captivating the audience with appealing and intriguing music. The concert features diverse groups of professional musicians and artists.

GLOBALLY ONE RUN FESTIVAL
A.K.A "GO RUN FEST"
Through the Run, Fair and other means of interactions, G.O. Run promotes an inclusive community, extending the values of cultural mosaic. Eroding language and cultural barriers, G.O. MINI OLYMPICS
Playing different activities and games with friends and family, participants truly enjoy a day of fun, food and lots of prizes.

CAMP AGAPE & CAMP TELEIOS
Late June or early July of every year, the Milal Mission branches located in Vancouver, Seattle, Northern California, and Southern California come together for Camp AGAPE. Camp AGAPE gives individuals with disabilities a chance to make wonderful memories throughout 2 nights and 3 days with their 1:1 aides.
Camp TELEIOS, which is an extension of Camp AGAPE, is held specially for the Vancouver branch. Visiting Disneyland, Universal Studio, Sea World and etc., participants see the greater world and build exciting and meaningful memories.

MILAL ARTS FESTIVAL
Milal Arts Festival began with the help of students from Emily Carr. Visiting beautiful parks in the Greater Vancouver, participants draw and paint their view of the world.

In October
NIGHT OF MILAL
It is an annual concert held globally since the establishment of the Wheat Mission in 1979. It showcases talented performers and inspirational speakers (such as Nick Vujicic, Lena Maria, So Hyang) who have not just overcome but learned to embrace the challenges of living with disabilities.
The <Vancouver Night of Milal> was first held in 2000; since then it has been held every autumn, sharing meaningful testimonies and performances with the Vancouver community.

WINTER FORMAL
Being one of the most anticipated events of the year, the participants of Milal enjoy the once-in-a-year dance party. Winter Formal allows the individuals with special needs to experience a "prom night."
